Chemical Science in action

This fortnight in science, students across all classes have been exploring states of matter. In the junior years, we conducted experiments such as blowing up a balloon with vinegar (liquid) and bicarb soda (solid) to create gas that blows up the balloon. In the upper years, we have explored these concepts a little deeper, looking at how particles form to make matter.

We have made predictions, tested our hypotheses and reflected on our observations when conducting sink or float experiments.
