Kitchen Garden Term 3, Weeks 8 &9

Last week in our Kitchen Garden sessions, the whole school enjoyed creating Father’s Day gifts for their special people. We utilised the Art Room to create gift cards and cards, as well as the kitchen to make the ‘Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies’! It was certainly hard to resist the temptation to eat them once the building started smelling so delicious! I hope these arrived home safely and were enjoyed by their recipients.

The Grade 3/4 class worked incredibly hard to create two recipes in one session. They kindly cooked and gifted chocolate muffins to the whole school as an act of kindness, inspired by their text study of Matilda. With only a few crumbs left in each class, it is safe to say this act of kindness was greatly appreciated!

During Week 9, the students welcomed Bu back to the Kitchen and Garden. It has been a pleasure teaching and cooking with the students this term.

Thank you to all the students for their cooperation, enthusiasm and efforts in the kitchen this term. A special thank you also goes to Mrs Holmes and Mrs Talbot for their support and assistance.

Wishing everyone a wonderful break, as the holidays are fast approaching!
