Foundation to Grade 2

This week in the Junior Grade, we were lucky to welcome Mel and Ranger from Responsible Pet Ownership. Students learned about the important responsibilities that come with being a pet owner and how we can interact safely and respectfully with animals.

We discussed what to do if we would like to pat a dog, as well as how to respond if we come across a dog, whether it is with or without its owner. Students enjoyed an informative and engaging session with Mel and Ranger.

To finish the incursion, some students had the opportunity to practise the skills they had learned by asking a pet owner for permission before patting their dog.
