F/1 Class Term 3, weeks 4 & 5

In Foundation and Grade 1, we have been building on our classroom routines and learning how to participate in Turn and Talk time. This is an important part of our lessons where students share their answers, thoughts and ideas with their learning partners using conversation strategies. We are practising waiting for our turn to talk and using a hand gesture to let our partner know when it is their turn to speak.

In Phonics, we have been learning about the digraph /ck/ and how two letters can work together to make one sound. Facts on Fire for Maths continues to be part of our daily routine as we build our recall of number facts, practise writing numbers and develop number fluency.
