F/1 Class News Term 3 - Weeks 2 & 3

In Foundation and Grade 1, we have been busy developing our understanding of Stratford Primary School's value – Aim High by following expectations. We know that to do this we need to follow instructions, commence our learning straight away and stay on task so we are not distracting others.

In Phonics we have been using our knowledge of sounds to read nonsense and real words. While writing, we have been using descriptive words to explain what a noun looks like and sometimes sounds like.

In Mathematics, we are making great progress with Facts on Fire. In this we have been looking at counting on, number formation and facts to 6. This is a new program that has become a part of our daily routine.
