3/4 Class News Week 6 & 7
Grade 3-4 have continued to delve into the wonderful world of poetry this term, focussing our attention on rhyming poetry.
Here are some examples of the poetry our students have written:
Matt wanted to sit on a mat
But there was a cat
But Matt still sat
Until a rat took the mat
So he ate, and got fat
So the cat had a nap
By Anthony
Dogs
Dogs are lovely creatures
Some like to play fetch
But some like to take long walks on leashes
Then they have a big stretch
By Olavi
Food
I really love food, I want it everywhere
I really wish it was whimsically floating in the air
Some foods are delicious
But some are scrumptious
Some are healthy
But some are only for the wealthy
By Nora
Cross Country
Every step is moving
Everybody is grooving
Step plus step equals the end
After that, I help my friends
Because of that, I came first
It made me burst
By Jack
We have also been learning about multiplication, division and measurement in maths. The class made quite a splash investigating capacity, using formal units of measurement when estimating, measuring and comparing different containers.
