3/4 Class Term 3, Weeks 8 & 9
Grade 3/4 students have focused on identifying ways that we are resilient and can demonstrate resilience in different areas of our lives. We are always trying to look for the positives in our day, try our best and keep going even when things are challenging.
In Literacy, students have continued reading ‘Matilda’ and have discovered lots about main characters, plots and plans! Alongside reading ‘Matilda,’ students have learned about direct and indirect speech and investigated examples of quoted speech in our class novel. Students were treated to baking a chocolate cake in honour of events that occurred in ‘Matilda,’ as well as a demonstration of an act of kindness.
In Maths, students have continued learning about time this past fortnight where they estimated durations of events and then planned a 1-hour party using these estimated times. Students also investigated angles as a mini maths unit, learning about many different types of angles.
