3/4 Class Term 3, weeks 4 & 5

In Grade 3/4 this past fortnight, our School Values focus was learning how to use the facilities in a respectful manner. We have also set goals to improve areas we wish to develop further, including active listening skills, classroom transitions and being on time and ready for learning.

In Literacy, students have completed their Commonwealth Games research posters, creating thoughtful posters, taking on partner feedback to improve their layouts. Students also shared one interesting fact from their posters in front of the class, developing their public speaking skills.

In Maths, students have learned to order and compare fractions as well as investigated how to find a fraction of a collection of objects. They have used clocks to explore time to 5-minute and 1-minute intervals and begun adding time on to solve simple time problems.
