Last week we had a big week of story-time. A local author, Tracey Kennedy visited and read her story “Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner”. We all had the opportunity to ask some questions about how books were made. This book tied in nicely with our rhyming unit. Then it was National Simultaneous Storytime, where we all listen to Luna Roo and designed a sporting top that was unique to ourselves. Maths has seen lots of number consolidation with one-to-one counting, looking at doubles and near doubles and mastering our addition skills. With Mrs Martin the F/1s all made a June calendar for their fridge at home to consolidate their learning about days of the week, months of the year and seasons.
