Curious Communities - Stadium Cleanup
As you all know, students at Stratford Primary School participate in Curious Communities one Friday a fortnight. Students select which group they would like to be a part of, and one of the groups we have is a ‘Volunteering’ group. The Volunteering group brainstormed ways in which they could help the community, coming up with some fantastic ideas. They then baked ANZAC cookies in week 1 of this term and took them along to the RSL on ANZAC day and presented them to the volunteers to be shared with all the other lovely goodies for morning tea after the march.
Another wonderful idea was to clean up in front of the stadium. Although the task was quite a big one, our small group made quite a dent on the area recently when they enthusiastically cut, swept and tidied the branches and debris along the driveway. What an amazing bunch of students we have at our school!
