Senior School News
Recently in the 5/6 room the students have been learning about the changes a community experiences over a period of time. Students began learning about the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander lifestyle before the first fleet arrived. Investigating indigenous farming techniques, community changes after their arrival, challenges farming experiences and the introduction on technology to assist in food production.
The class community allowed students to collect the necessities needed in life- food and housing. As the community advanced, students had the chance to get jobs, income, and valuables to make life for enjoyable. The class community allowed students to develop their compromising and communication skills. Encouraging them to think ahead and problem solve.
Our class community winners with 62 possessions were Skylar and her partner.
Thomas takes the winner of most job, 12!
Harry takes the most hearts with 9!
Brayden and his partner won most animals, with 21 pigs!
And sadly, Cuda was the only death in our class- which he is very proud of.
