School Leaders Reflect on ANZAC Day
We had a busy week preparing for ANZAC Day last week. Each class made a poppy wreath and we had our first ANZAC Day school assembly last Friday by the Remembrance garden. It was a lovely afternoon with the beautiful sunshine. The school captains prepared and led the assembly, with Eliza laying a wreath on behalf of our school. Everyone was very patient and respectful.
Members of our school community came together early Saturday morning for the ANZAC day march. It felt special to march down the main street together. Lacey and Lilly laid the wreath on behalf of the school. A special thank you to Deb French for her time and helping Lilly to make it. Everyone was fascinated by the releasing of the pigeons.
Some of us joined the community for the RSL morning tea. Our community leaders from Curious Communities, Lacey and Abby, made and decorated some special biscuits and presented these to the wonderful ladies who prepared the morning tea as a thank you.
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend.
