Kitchen Garden week 7 and 8

During the last two weeks we have been able to harvest and cook kale, cauliflower and broccoli from the garden. The Foundation/1 class cut kale and made kale chips which many of them were surprised to find they actually liked. The 5/6s steamed the broccoli from their garden bed and enjoyed it with cheese sauce. The 1/2s roasted cauliflower and also ate it with cheese sauce.

In the garden the 3/4 class planted out winter vegetables including celery, carrots and peas. The junior classes had been learning about the structure of leaves.

We look forward to harvesting more vegetables in the next few weeks.
