F/1 Non Fiction Reading Restaurant

This morning the Foundation/One class took part in a Reading Restaurant, sampling a wide variety of information books.  They enjoyed being waited on with hot chocolate and biscuits while they read.  I was pleasantly surprised at how engaged they were and how well they conducted themselves after being briefed on appropriate restaurant etiquette. Following the restaurant they each selected 5 information texts for their individual book boxes.  They will uses these books of choice for their learning about non-fiction text over the coming weeks.  It was an enjoyable morning of learning.  Well done F/1.
