Clean Up Stratford

On Friday 20th of February 2026, the whole school took part in our own version of Clean up Australia Day. Firstly, we met in the gallery to discuss the importance of this event, before dividing into 3 groups with gloves on ready to go clean up!

Mrs Edney and a group of students tackled the school grounds, whilst a group walked to Market Reserve and the other group walked to the Mary Treasure Reserve. Although it seemed as though there wasn’t a lot of rubbish, once everyone’s contributions were compiled, there was a significant amount for only approximately 30 minutes of time.

The students spoke of the importance of Clean up Australia Day (officially Sunday, March 1st) for our wildlife and to take pride in our local community. We hope this inspires our students and families, as every little bit makes a big difference!

A huge thank you goes to our amazing students, staff and parents that came to join us on Friday. What a wonderful team effort, well done!
