Week 9 and 10

Week 9 saw all classes make mini pizzas which were a quick and tasty snack on these cold winter mornings. From the photos you can see how the students created a variety of pizzas from the toppings available. The Grade 3/4 students are becoming more confident about using the ovens and the F/1 class were lucky enough to be able to enjoy theirs in the sun!

Students have been learning about leaves and stems and their function in plants, while the Grade 5/6 class has been working on a variety of winter garden projects including cataloguing the orchard, preparing a bed to transplant strawberries, reestablishing the worm farms and planting a no dig potato patch.

The students are always asking for copies of the recipes, and although we are collecting them in a folder, starting next term the recipes we cook will be included in the newsletter each fortnight.
