5/6 Home Learning

This week, 3-6 students participated in the termly Home Learning expo. Allowing students to create a project-based learning task and showcase it to their peers. Home Learning is an exciting aspect of our school. Encouraging students to use their creativity, personal interests and drive for curiosity rather than weekly homework.

This term it was fabulous to see more STEM based projects and beautiful models from the senior students.

In the Wild Art Excursion

On Wednesday, F/1 and 5/6 students set off to the Sale Botanical Gardens.

It was great to see the seniors of our school pairing up with their buddies to explore the wilderness Sale has to offer. Students participated in a nature scavenger hunt, searching for rainbow birds, beautiful flowers and secret hidey holes. All students learnt about the rare native animals and plants being brought back to life in our very own Botanical Garden.

Athletics

On Wednesday 27th, 24 grade 3-6 students participated in the HDSSA Athletics. Everyone put in a fantastic effort and represented the school amazingly.

From these lucky 24 students, 7 made their way to regionals on Tuesday 2nd.

Our Wellington athletes represented the school in long jump, triple jump, discus, and shot put. Everyone gave it their best, with Skylar advancing to the next stage.

We look forward to hearing how Skylar performs at regions.
